Mike and Mary McNiel of McClelland Tobacco brought their new additions to their line of Turkish tobaccos for our club to sample.  The view on the right is what we enjoyed at the February '08 meeting.  

But, then Mary explained how proud they were to be able to present such a fine array of orientals and turkish blends. Some we may never see again. In some cases, they have tinned individual varietal types, allowing us to explore and enjoy each tobacco separately. I thought the packing of an individual varietal whole leaf in each tin was a nice touch.

But then, Mary is always toughtful.

Mike (at right), naturally explained to us exactly how hard it is to come up with these new blends and how it really doesn't matter because its all #$#%^& anyway. Oh, and the world is going to end, soon.

Our Emcee, Steve Butler, hosted the event and promised us many more delights too come. We will have the insurance deiscussion at some point in the future. But in the mean time, you just never know what will turn up at one of our meetings?
